What Stripe does, and what the website does
Stripe handles the money: card details, payment methods, fraud checks, receipts and payouts to your bank. The website handles everything around it: what's being bought, the form, the confirmation and what happens next.
Built together, a customer goes from deciding to paid without a phone call or an emailed invoice.
Ways to take payment
Stripe's payment form can sit inside your own page, or a Stripe-hosted checkout page can take over for the payment step. For simpler cases, a payment link can go on any button or invoice. We pick whichever fits how you sell.
Subscriptions and memberships
For memberships, retainers and plans, Stripe bills on schedule, retries cards that fail and sends receipts. Customers can update their card or cancel through Stripe's customer portal, so those emails don't land on you.
Card security
Card details are entered into Stripe's own fields and go straight to Stripe; they never touch the website's server. That keeps most of the card-security burden with Stripe, which is certified to the card industry's highest level (PCI DSS Level 1).
What happens after the payment
When a payment lands, Stripe tells the website straight away, and the site can confirm the booking, send the order to your team, update a client portal or add the customer to your records.
