Why businesses leave Wix
Most don't leave because Wix stopped working. They leave because the site stopped keeping up: the same template as competitors, app charges every month, pages that drag on phones, and features the business needs that Wix can't add. By the time they move, there's usually a list.
The good news is that leaving is mostly planning. Done in the right order, customers and search engines barely notice the switch, except that the new site works better.
What you can take, and what you can't
Wix doesn't let you export a site to host somewhere else, so the template and layout stay behind. What you can take is what matters: your domain, your words and photos, your contacts and form entries, and your store's products as a spreadsheet.
We gather it all before anything changes, so nothing is lost when the Wix plan ends.
Your domain and email
If you bought your domain through Wix, it can stay there and point to the new site, or move to a registrar in your name. Email is separate from the website: Wix mailboxes run on Google Workspace, and they keep working as long as the email records stay in place.
We change only the records the website needs, so mail keeps arriving through the switch.
The day of the switch
The new site is finished and checked on a private link first. On the day, the domain is pointed at it, the redirects go live with it, and within minutes visitors see the new site. Your Wix site waits in the background until we've confirmed everything works.
The weeks after
Search engines re-read the site over the following weeks. We watch Search Console for missing pages, check forms and bookings land where they should, and resubmit the sitemap. Once it has all settled, the Wix plan is cancelled.
