Website redesign

Fix the site that's holding you back

We find what's costing you customers, then fix it or rebuild it, whichever makes sense.

Website redesign services that keep what works

An old website rarely fails all at once. It gets harder to use on a phone, harder to update and further behind the business it's meant to sell, until customers start calling someone else.

Done well, a redesign wins more from the visitors you already have, before you spend anything on bringing in new ones.

From then to now

A website redesign that keeps what works. And rebuilds what's costing you customers.

We find what's broken

How people use the site today, and where they give up.

  • Where visitors drop off
  • What breaks on a phone
  • What Google can't read

Keep what earns its place

Pages, content and rankings that work are carried over.

  • Pages that rank stay put
  • Old links sent to new pages
  • Your best content kept

Rebuilt around booking

A new design made to turn visits into calls and bookings.

  • Designed for phones first
  • Booking on every page

Signs it's time for a redesign

When a website redesign starts to pay. Eight signs we see most.

Hard to use on a phone

Buttons too small, text too wide, menus that won't open.

No way to book online

Customers have to call or email to get anything done.

Looks out of date

It no longer looks like the business it sells.

Slow to load

Pages that keep people waiting, on mobile data most of all.

Hard to update

Every change needs a developer, or never gets made.

Hard to find on Google

Pages that don't match what customers search for.

Enquiries have dropped

People still visit, but fewer of them call or book.

Stuck on a template

A theme you've outgrown, full of features you never use.

Refresh or start again?

The honest case for a full website redesign. Cons included.

Pros

  • Built around todayYour services, your customers and how they book now.
  • Easier to updateChange text, photos and hours without waiting on anyone.
  • Ready for searchA clean structure Google can read from the first day.
  • One look againThe site matches the brand customers see everywhere else.

Cons

  • More than a faceliftNew pages take planning, writing and testing.
  • Some words need rewritingOld pages often need new copy, not just a new look.
  • Your time early onWe need you for a few decisions at the start.
  • Not always neededIf the site works and only looks dated, a refresh may do.

Our take

Worth it when the site is costing you customers.

If people give up on their phones or can't book, a full redesign is worth it. If it only looks dated, we'll tell you a lighter refresh will do.

Website redesign, explained

How to redesign a website without losing what works. In plain English.

When a website redesign makes sense

A redesign makes sense when the website stops doing its job: people can't use it on a phone, can't book from it, or can't find it on Google. Looking dated is a reason too, when the site no longer matches the business it sells.

If the site works and only needs new photos or words, a refresh is often enough.

How to keep your Google rankings

The risk in any redesign is losing the search rankings you already have. We list every page that brings in visits, keep the ones that work at the same addresses, and point every old address to its new page.

Titles, descriptions and structured data are carried over and improved, so Google sees the same business, better organised.

  • Every ranking page listed before we start
  • Old addresses pointed to new pages
  • Titles and descriptions carried over
  • Checked in Google after launch

Designing for the phone first

Many customers will see the new site on a phone, often while deciding whether to call. We design those screens first: clear buttons, short pages and booking within a tap or two.

What happens after launch

The new site goes live in weeks, not months, and then we look after it: hosting, updates, security and changes when you ask. It never has to fall this far behind again.

Questions and answers

Still have a question?

Ask us anything. We'll answer it straight, even if the answer is that we're not the right fit.

  • Not when it's planned. We keep the pages that rank at the same addresses, point the rest to their new pages and check Google after launch.

  • Yes. We keep what works, rewrite what doesn't and add what's missing.

  • Most redesigns go live in weeks, not months. The exact time depends on the pages and features, and you'll get a plan on the first call.

  • Not usually. We design around your current brand, and we'll tell you if it's holding the site back.

  • Yes. We rebuild the site in code and move your content across, so you're no longer tied to a theme or a page builder.
